Navigating Changing Times with Spiritual Principles

Posted by:

We are living in times of rapid change, global uncertainty, and personal challenge. Whether it’s upheaval in the world, transitions in our own lives, or simply the overwhelm of everyday responsibilities, it’s easy to feel ungrounded. Yet, these very moments are when spiritual principles become not just ideas—but lifelines.

At the Center for Spiritual Living Morristown, we are guided by the powerful teachings of Dr. Ernest Holmes and the Science of Mind philosophy, which remind us that we are not separate from the Infinite. Even in uncertainty, we are always anchored in something greater: the eternal presence of Spirit that moves in, through, and as us.

Here are a few core spiritual ideas to carry with you through these changing times:

1. There is only One Power, and it is for Good.

No matter how things may appear, there is a deeper order and intelligence at work in the universe. When we align with that knowing, we can move from fear to faith. We can ask, “What is Spirit seeking to express through this experience?” and open ourselves to unexpected blessings.

2. Change is the beginning of new creation.

Change, while uncomfortable, is often the vehicle for transformation. When old structures fall away—individually or collectively—it makes room for something new to emerge. As Holmes taught, “We are chemists in the laboratory of the Infinite.” Let’s use this time to create consciously.

3. Our thoughts shape our experience.

This is a powerful truth: what we dwell on grows. Now more than ever, it’s important to be mindful of our inner dialogue. Spiritual mind treatment (affirmative prayer), meditation, and intentional affirmations are tools we can use daily to align our minds with truth, peace, and possibility.

4. We are never alone.

Even in isolation, we are connected—to each other and to the Infinite. Our community is here for you. Rev. Janice and our practitioners are available for prayer support and guidance. Together, we hold space for healing, for hope, and for the unfolding of a higher good.

Let this be a time not of fear, but of deeper faith. Not of retreat, but of recommitment to our spiritual practice. As we face the unknown, let’s do so with open hearts, clear minds, and the unwavering belief that the Universe supports us fully.
